改革开放以后，房地产经历了数代的更迭；尤其在2010年以后，地产设计进入到一个质变期。品质上的质变期影响了行业从规划、设计、建设、管理获得了举世瞩目的成就，设计行业借着东风起势，开放性地学习到各行各业的先进经验，把中国的地产设计事业推向新的一个高峰。

重塑商业空间,打造社交发生器
Itbecameclearduringthedesignprocessthatweneededtoputsomeshopsinthemiddle,weweretryingtosolvetheproblemofattractingpeopletoupstairs,maybeeventocreatesomethingwhichatthetimedidn'treallyexist.So,thisactuallygoesbacktothenameofthecompanyCLOU:YoucouldsaythissculptureinthemiddleistheCLOUoftheproject.Soasarchitectsanddesigners,wecankeepdevelopingnewtypologiesandkeepcreatingwhatwecall‘clous’.Itwasanamazinglearningexperience,becauseit'sajourneythatwealltooktogether.

建筑师影响着城市的发展，肩负着对后代的责任。
疫情对我们的影响有两方面。我们真正意识到了什么？我们一直在想什么?
我们对这些项目的兴趣实际上是关于社会空间，人们如何结合在一起，以及如何真正创造一些吸引人的东西并成为城市生活的一部分。这当然不只是为了人们购物上的便利更重要的是为了让人们可以社交或是独处。我认为我们的客户已经意识到这变得越来越重要，这也是我们双方都在学习的一段历程。
我们很高兴能与众多非常好的客户和开发商合作。实际上我们已经建立了一个成长体系，推动我们持续前进。因此，从这个意义上说，疫情实际上坚固了我们的信念，让我们鼓起勇气；同时，疫情也是一针催化剂，让我们意识到团队必须真正成长，这样我们才能利用这个机会设计更多的项目并持续发展。所以，这也是我们在上海设立办公室的原因之一。
TheinfluencethatCOVIDhadonusweretwothings:Whatwerealisedwasthatourinterestinalltheseprojectsisactuallyaboutsocialspace,howpeoplelivetogether,andhowyoucanactuallycreatesomethingthatattractspeopleandbecomespartoftheurbanrealm.It'scertainlynotbecauseit'sconvenienttogoforshopping-itisactuallytosocialiseortobenotalone.ThisisthemainpurposeoftheseplacesandIthinkclientsrealisethatthisbecomesmoreandmoreimportant.Itwasalearningcurvenotonlyforus,butalsofortheclients.
Therearemanyveryniceclientsanddevelopersthatweloveworkingwith.Thishassetupagrowthprocesssothatwe'regoingwiththeflow.So,inthatsense,thepandemicactuallyreassuredusinourconvictions.Atthesametime,itwasalsoreinforcingourrealisationthatwereallyhavetogrow,sowecanusethisopportunitytobeabletodesignmoreprojectsandtokeepdeveloping.Thisactuallyalsomeantthatwehadtogrowalot,andthisbecameoneofthereasonswhywe'veopenedtheofficeinShanghai.
我们正在做的事情对城市发展非常重要。CLOU一直在探索设计“愿景项目”，一个颇为有力的例子是SUPERTENT“超级帐篷“，这个项目并没有业主委托，项目的想法是创造一个巨大的屋顶，下面是三维城市景观，并与交通基础设施相连。这或许只是为了创造一种我们将来可以利用的城市奇观或城市特色。有时候，我们所做的这些设想可能需要2-3年的时间才能找到真正实现的方法。但这不仅是和健康生活有关，而且作为建筑师，我们有责任为后代考虑实现碳中和。这不仅能确保能源合理运用，也能确保项目具有社会可持续性。
Whatwe'redoingisveryimportantforurbandevelopment.CLOUhasalwaysbeendoingwhatyoucouldsayarevisionprojects.AstrongexampleistheSuperTent,whichisaprojectwithoutaclient.Itwasthisideaaboutcreatingabigroofwithathree-dimensionalcityscapeunderneath,connectingwithtransportinfrastructure.Justtocreateasortofurbanspectacle,oranurbanspecialitythatwecouldinthefuturelooktotapinto.Sometimesthesevisionswedotake2or3yearsuntiltheycanfindtheirwayintoarealproject.(Sustainability)isnotonlyabouteverythingthathastodowithhealthyliving,aboutthefactthatwehavearesponsibilitytothegenerationsthatcomeafterus,thatwereachacarbonneutrality,it’sthatwemakesurenotonlyenergywise,butthere'sasocialsustainabilitytotheproject.

即使晚些开始，也始终不要停止脚步。
建筑是一种给人不同的体验艺术的形式。作为建筑师，有时我们必须谨小慎微，慎终如始；有时我们必须反向而行；有时我们必须大胆创新。最终，作为建筑师，我们有责任尽一切努力确保最终建造的架构达到标准。不管它有多难，这就是对建筑师对城市环境的贡献。
